Old jeans are given a new purpose by the Green Pioneer Initiative – a committed group of Deutsche Telekom employees who are actively working towards a lower-emission and more sustainable textile cycle. The aim of the Smart Textile Collection is to reduce waste and conserve natural resources in order to make a responsible contribution to our environment.

The idea is simple and effective: new items of clothing are created from used, collected jeans. Each individual item is more than just fashion: it is a clear commitment to more conscious consumption and a future-orientated lifestyle.

Recycled jeans offer numerous advantages. They conserve resources as valuable fibres from textile clothing collections are reused and fed back into the cycle. Clever upcycling and sustainable production processes avoid waste, while the responsible design of the fashion ensures that it not only looks good, but also makes a positive contribution to society and the environment.
